about

A Guinea pig in a CIA drugs test is dropped into a large scale movie set of the 19598 New York. It’s a test that he’s trying to avoid but reality runs out on him and amidst the confusion the awful truth of his predicament races in… He’s trying to get out and find his way home but hot on his heels are the men with the antidote.
Surreal chase story; the lines are blurred and it’s not clear who the good guys are…Who can you trust?

lyrics

"Lost in New York,
Shadows at my shoulder and I see fear in the eyes of a stranger
So I head underground, down into the stations, subterranean
Where I spy Bill, alias Mr. William
Hiding behind your copy of the New York Times…
… Well you don’t fool me Mr. William

Now who can you trust in this make-shift world?
Who can you trust?

Climbed out of the Subway it was 1960,
I was 28 years old. All I could see was the slow dead smile of Uncle Sam with a needle in his hand and the black flashes above me and fades out and it fades out
I see laughing skulls and dancing bones… Is this Mexico City or the Hudson River
Where am I? Am I lost on New York?

Trapped inside the New York Zones and which way can I turn?
Towers burn and the image breaks up and time is just damaged goods that slips between the gaps and slides down into the New York subway system

So the goons follow me down into the New York subway system
I’ve got spooks on my trail
They wait and they watch
Like dead men in paradise
Spooks on my Trail
Watching … and they wait
And they watch…"

Henry's Radio >
Unusual, eclectic songs with bearing and wit, telling tales from the flipside of existence. Many styles collide in a Henrys Radio set; certainly a mixed bag but certainly not ‘off the peg’. Entertaining and imaginative songs await you.

Henrys Radios’ music is not tied down to any one style and covers manic & demented sea shanties, Turkish, Klezmer, Music Hall, East European, Fairground, Dick Dale inspired Surf, and a whole lot more. The songs are lyrical and the music detailed.

Henry's Radio are:
Ian Tilleard – Vocals
Ian Walker – Keyboards
Mark King – Drums
Rik Ironmonger - Bass

The Sounds of Strangers UK

We are a group of BT musicians who have come together (initially as strangers) to create an album of different music from our bands or solo acts to raise money for charity. Our first album is in support of the World Cancer Research Fund UK.
We wanted to contribute our 'sounds' for the album - responding to an S.O.S. appeal from Phil Brunkard who kicked off the project.
We hope you enjoy.
